Ingredients
15 mL1 tbspmargarine or butter
125 mL1/2 cupcorn syrup or liquid honey
500 mL2 cupsRICE KRISPIES* cereal
2 mL1/2 tspvanilla (optional)
125 mL1/2 cupbrown sugar
175 mL3/4 cupchopped nuts
125 mL1/2 cuppeanut butter
125 mL1/2 cupsemisweet chocolate chips
30 mL2 tbsppeanut butter
250 mL1 cupsemisweet chocolate chips
Preparation
  1. BASE : In saucepan, heat corn syrup, margarine, brown sugar, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. Remove from heat; stir in nuts and cereal.
  2. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan.
  3. TOPPING : In a small saucepan, gently heat peanut butter and chocolate chips. When melted, blend and spread over base. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares.

These taste great and are quick and simple to make. However, 13 x 9 inch pan is much too big. It produced very thin treats. Use a smaller pan for thicker treats.
